| Mikey is a very "Special" dog! I rescued him from a puppy mill after I had lost my beloved "Suzy" at age 13 1/2. I got Mikey for me but a few months after I got him I suddenly was working much longer hours and my husband was home a lot more. "My" Mikey became "Keith's" constant companion! Anyone who has been to our home knows Mikey is very spoiled! See, he doesn't know he is a dog.......he thinks he is one of the kids. He enjoys football games and old movies snuggled up in Keith's lap. He has a lot of personality and is very intelligent; he will bring you 12 different toys when you ask for them by name. My shoes are never by the back door because he takes them and gives them to Keith when he wants to go out. (I think it's because he can't carry Keith's size 13 sneakers!) As often happens with dogs from indiscriminate breeders, Mikey had genetic health problems. Mikey was neutered at a young age and has never been part of my breeding program. He has never been shown nor won a title but everyone who meets him knows Mikey is .......well...... special! He is devoted to Keith and is a wonderful family pet. |
